Yikhazqal 22:26–29 (Ezekiel)
Her Kahanim have violated My Turah and profaned My set-apart things. They have made no distinction between the set-apart and the common, nor taught the difference between the unclean and the clean. They have hidden their eyes from My Shabbath, and I am profaned among them. Her rulers in her midst are like wolves tearing prey, shedding Dam and destroying Naphash to gain dishonest gain. And her Nabiym plaster over these things for them with false visions and lying divination, saying, "Thus says Yahuah Alahym," when Yahuah has not spoken. The people of the Arats practice oppression and commit robbery. They mistreat the Dal and the needy and oppress the Gar without Mishpat.
Meaning
A priest, one who serves at the sanctuary. Kahanim is the plural.
Instruction, teaching, direction from Yahuah. Often rendered law, but its sense is teaching that points the way.
The seventh-day rest, the ceasing appointed by Yahuah.
Blood; often the lifeblood, and bloodshed.
Living being, life, self, or person; not the later idea of an immortal, detachable soul.
A prophet, a spokesman for Yahuah. Nabiym is the plural.
The personal Name of the Creator, written with the four letters yod, he, waw, he. It is His Name, not a title.
The Mighty One; the plural-form title expressing full might and authority, used of Yahuah.
The earth, the land, the ground.
The poor, the weak, the low; those in need.
A sojourner, a resident foreigner dwelling among Yashar'al. Garim is the plural.
Judgment, just ruling, ordinance; the right verdict and the way of justice. Plural Mishpatim.
