Yashaʿyahu 66:1–4 (Isaiah)
Thus says Yahuah: "The Shamayim are My throne, and the Arats is My footstool. Where then is the house you could build for Me, and where is the place of My rest? For My hand ʿAsah all these things, and thus all these things came to be," declares Yahuah. "But to this one I will look: to the poor and the one struck in Ruakh, and the one who Kharad at My Dabar. The one who slaughters an ox is like one who strikes an Adam. The one who sacrifices a lamb is like one who breaks a dog's neck. The one who brings a Minkhah is like one bringing swine's blood. The one who causes remembrance with frankincense is like one who Barak an idol. They themselves have chosen their own Darakim, and their Naphash delights in their detestable things. So I also will choose their punishments and bring upon them what they dread, because when I called, no one answered. When I spoke, they did not Shama. They ʿAsah Raʿ in My eyes and chose what I did not delight in."
