Wayiqra 4:27–31 (Leviticus)
And if one Naphash from the people of the land Khata unintentionally by ʿAsah one of the Mitswuth of Yahuah that must not be done, and becomes Asham, or his Khata that he committed becomes known to him, then he shall bring his offering, a female goat without defect, for his Khata that he committed. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the Khata-offering and slaughter the Khata-offering at the place of the ascending offering. And the Kahan shall take some of its Dam with his finger and place it upon the horns of the altar of ascending offering, and pour the rest of its Dam at the base of the altar. And he shall remove all its fat as the fat was removed from the Shalum-offering, and the Kahan shall cause it to ascend upon the altar as a pleasing aroma to Yahuah. The Kahan shall Kaphar for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
Meaning
Living being, life, self, or person; not the later idea of an immortal, detachable soul.
To miss the mark, to sin; failing to meet Yahuah's standard. Khataim are sins.
To do, make, or accomplish; to put a matter into practice.
Commandment, charge; something commanded. Plural Mitswuth.

Guilt, and the guilt offering that answers it.
