ZoreaYahu
Verse of the Day

Wayiqra 19:33–34 (Leviticus)

And when a Gar dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. The Gar who dwells with you shall be to you as the Azrakh among you, and you shall Ahab him as yourself, for you were Garim in the land of Mitsrayim. I am Yahuah your Alahym.

Meaning

Gar גר · G-W-R · Gar

A sojourner, a resident foreigner dwelling among Yashar'al. Garim is the plural.

Azrakh אזרח · Z-R-Kh · Az-rakh

The native-born citizen of the land.

Ahab אהב · A-H-B · A-hab

Love expressed as attachment, loyalty, care, and conduct; not emotion alone.

Yahuah יהוה · Y-H-W-H · Ya-hu-ah

The personal Name of the Creator, written with the four letters yod, he, waw, he. It is His Name, not a title.

Alahym אלהים · A-L-H · A-la-hym

The Mighty One; the plural-form title expressing full might and authority, used of Yahuah.

Question answered: How was Yashar'al to treat the Gar? Not oppress him; treat him as the Azrakh and Ahab him as oneself.
