The Turah of Yahuah is complete, restoring the Naphash. The ʿAduth of Yahuah is firm, making the simple wise. The Piqudim of Yahuah are straight, causing the Lab to rejoice. The Mitswah of Yahuah is pure, giving Aur to the eyes. The Yirah of Yahuah is clean, standing for ʿUlam. The Mishpatim of Yahuah are Amat. They are Tsadaq altogether. They are more desirable than gold, even much refined gold, and sweeter than honey and the dripping of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Your servant is warned. In guarding them there is great reward.
Meaning
Instruction, teaching, direction from Yahuah. Often rendered law, but its sense is teaching that points the way.
The personal Name of the Creator, written with the four letters yod, he, waw, he. It is His Name, not a title.
Living being, life, self, or person; not the later idea of an immortal, detachable soul.
Testimony, witness; the covenant testimony that bears witness to Yahuah.
Precepts, appointed charges; things entrusted by Yahuah to be kept.
Heart, inner mind, intention, and will; the seat of thought and choice.
Commandment, charge; something commanded. Plural Mitswuth.
Light.
To fear, revere, stand in awe; reverent respect that shapes conduct. The noun is Yirah.
Long duration, an age, the far horizon of time; often rendered forever.
Judgment, just ruling, ordinance; the right verdict and the way of justice. Plural Mishpatim.
Truth, firmness, reliability; what holds and can be trusted.
Righteousness and right conduct; being in the right and doing right. Tsadaq is the righteous one.
