Oh, how I Ahab Your Turah! It is my Siykhah all the day. Through Your Mitswuth You make me wiser than my enemies, for they are always with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your ʿAduth are my Siykhah. I understand more than the elders because I guard Your instructions. I have restrained my feet from every Raʿ Darak so that I may guard Your Dabar. I have not turned aside from Your Mishpatim, for You Yourself have instructed me. How sweet are Your Dabarim to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your instructions I gain understanding; therefore I hate every false Darak. Your Dabar is a lamp to my feet and an Aur to my path.
Meaning
Love expressed as attachment, loyalty, care, and conduct; not emotion alone.
Instruction, teaching, direction from Yahuah. Often rendered law, but its sense is teaching that points the way.
To meditate, murmur, and ponder continually. Siykhah is such meditation.
Commandment, charge; something commanded. Plural Mitswuth.
Testimony, witness; the covenant testimony that bears witness to Yahuah.
Evil, bad, harmful; wrong in nature or in effect.
Way, road, path; the course of one's conduct. Plural Darakim.
Word, matter, thing spoken; a command or message from Yahuah. Plural Dabarim.
Judgment, just ruling, ordinance; the right verdict and the way of justice. Plural Mishpatim.
