Dabarim 9:16–18 (Deuteronomy)
And I looked, and see, you had Khata against Yahuah your Alahym. You had made for yourselves a cast calf. You had quickly turned aside from the Darak that Yahuah commanded you. And I seized the two tablets and threw them from my two hands and shattered them before your eyes. Then I fell before Yahuah as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I ate no bread and drank no water because of all your Khata that you committed by ʿAsah Raʿ in the eyes of Yahuah, provoking Him.
Meaning
To miss the mark, to sin; failing to meet Yahuah's standard. Khataim are sins.
The personal Name of the Creator, written with the four letters yod, he, waw, he. It is His Name, not a title.
The Mighty One; the plural-form title expressing full might and authority, used of Yahuah.
Way, road, path; the course of one's conduct. Plural Darakim.
To do, make, or accomplish; to put a matter into practice.
Evil, bad, harmful; wrong in nature or in effect.
