Dabarim 6:4–9 (Deuteronomy)
Shama, Yashar'al: Yahuah our Alahym, Yahuah is one. And you shall Ahab Yahuah your Alahym with all your Labab, with all your Naphash, and with all your strength. And these Dabarim that I command you today shall be upon your Labab. And you shall diligently teach them to your children. You shall speak of them when you sit in your house, when you Halak upon the Darak, when you lie down, and when you rise. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and upon your gates.
Meaning
Hear, listen, heed, respond. In covenant instruction, hearing carries the expected response.
Love expressed as attachment, loyalty, care, and conduct. It must not be reduced to emotion alone.
Heart, inner mind, intention, will.
Living being, life, self, person, appetite according to context. It should not automatically become the later concept of an immortal detachable "soul."
