Dabarim 18:18–22 (Deuteronomy)
"I will raise up for them a Nabi from among their brothers like you, and I will put My Dabarim in his mouth, and he shall speak to them everything that I command him. And it shall be that whoever does not Shama My Dabarim that he speaks in My Sham, I Myself will require it from him. But the Nabi who acts presumptuously by speaking a Dabar in My Sham that I did not command him to speak, or who speaks in the sham of other alahym, that Nabi shall die." And if you say in your Labab, "How shall we Yada the Dabar that Yahuah has not spoken?" When a Nabi speaks in the Sham of Yahuah and the Dabar does not happen or come to pass, that is the Dabar Yahuah has not spoken. The Nabi has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not fear him.
Meaning
A prophet, a spokesman for Yahuah. Nabiym is the plural.
Word, matter, thing spoken; a command or message from Yahuah. Plural Dabarim.
To hear, listen, heed, and respond; hearing that carries the expected obedience.
Name; not a mere label but identity, reputation, and authority.
Heart, inner mind, intention, and will; the seat of thought and choice.
To know by experience and relationship, not merely to hold information.
The personal Name of the Creator, written with the four letters yod, he, waw, he. It is His Name, not a title.
