Four letters recur: Y-H-W-H. In Square Script: יהוה. ZoreaYahu restores that Name as Yahuah.
The importance of the consonantal tradition is that the Name does not depend on an English translation in order to exist. It is already present in the source language as a written sequence of letters.
That allows the reader to track it.
The Name appears where Yahuah speaks. It appears in covenant statements. It appears in commands. It appears in praise. It appears in warnings. It appears where people call upon Him. It appears in accounts of deliverance and judgment.
That repetition creates continuity across the Scrolls.
The consonants also survive independently of later vowel-point systems. A manuscript may contain additional reading marks, but the underlying four letters remain identifiable.
That distinction is important for restoration because it prevents later reading conventions from being silently confused with the consonantal spelling itself.
Personal names add another piece of evidence. Forms containing Yahu show that an element connected to the Name was incorporated into names used among the people. That supports the conclusion that the Name was linguistically active rather than functioning only as an abstract written symbol.
Yet restoration must still stop where the evidence stops. Yahu elements in names can inform reconstruction. They do not function as an ancient recording of the complete four-letter Name.
This is why ZoreaYahu can be confident about the written Name while still being transparent about vocalization. The consonants are directly preserved. Yahuah is the restored reading used in this work.
That distinction is not weakness. It is evidence-chain honesty. It allows us to say exactly what the surviving witnesses establish and exactly what has been reconstructed.
For the reader, the practical result is significant. Once Y-H-W-H is recognized as a Name rather than something to be passed over, entire passages change in clarity.
Commands to remember the Name actually involve a Name. Calls to praise the Name involve a Name. Statements about making the Name known involve a Name.
The consonantal tradition has carried that identity forward on the page. Restoration begins by noticing it.
