Did Chrysostom Admit Some Christianoi Respected the Yahudim and Considered Their Way of Life Venerable?

What the ancient record says

Yes, helps explain the intensity. He says he knows that many people respect the Yahudim and regard their present way of life as venerable, then says that is why he wants to uproot that opinion.

Revealing: he is not confronting a population that universally despises Yahudim, the opposite; some Christianoi respected Yahudim and their practices, visited synagogues, participated in observances. Method: he deliberately makes the synagogue appear repulsive, immediately after acknowledging the respect, he begins the sequence comparing the synagogue with a theater, brothel, den of robbers, wild beasts, demons; the rhetorical strategy is visible inside the sermon.

We need not prove his private motive beyond what he states, he states the purpose openly (people respect Yahudim; he wants to uproot that opinion). Matters: the boundary was not complete; he was actively hardening it.
