It opens and closes with the call to praise Yah and, in between, turns the praise toward reasons. It warns against leaning on princes and mortal men whose plans die with them, and then lifts up Yahuah as the maker of heaven and earth who keeps truth forever, lifts the bowed down, feeds the hungry, frees the prisoner, and reigns without end. The song takes its HalleluYah straight from this pattern, where the shout of praise is tied to the works and the enduring rule of Yahuah rather than to fleeting human power.
The supporting passages build the same closing wave of praise that ends the Scroll of Tahilliym. Tahilliym (Psalms) 147:1 states the reason for the song outright, that it is good and pleasant and fitting to sing praise to Yahuah. Tahilliym (Psalms) 148:1-14 widens the call until it fills all of creation, summoning the heavens, the sun and moon and stars, the deeps, the weather, mountains and trees, animals and rulers and every age of people to praise the Name of Yahuah, because His Name alone is exalted.

Tahilliym (Psalms) 150:1-6 closes the whole collection with an unbroken chain of HalleluYah, naming instrument after instrument and ending with the call that everything that has breath praise Yah.
