The passage commands the people not to fear at that sight, because Yahuah goes with them to fight on their behalf and to save. The confidence in this passage does not come from counting one's own strength. It comes from knowing who moves ahead of the line.

Tahilliym (Psalms) 18:29-39 describes being carried through obstacles that should stop a person. In this passage the one who trusts runs against a troop and leaps a wall, and hands untrained for war are trained, strength is fastened on like a belt, and the path underfoot is widened so the feet do not slip. Tahilliym (Psalms) 144:1-2 adds to this by blessing Yahuah as the rock who trains the hands for battle, and by naming Him fortress, deliverer, and shield.
